Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA Inc. is seeking a purchasing professional to collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production and quality goals through effective procurement.

The role includes managing inventory, processing requisitions and PO’s, and supervising the Storeroom team. Qualified candidates will typically have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 3–5 years of purchasing experience, with strong negotiation and ethical decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Plan, organise, manage and evaluate purchasing activities and the budget of an organization.
• Comply with purchasing policies, procedures, standards and strategies to ensure transparency, fairness, impartiality and confidentiality.
• Skills in negotiation, persuasion, supervision, active listening, learning, critical thinking and ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations and maintenance to ensure production and quality goals are met without interruption for lack of materials or services.
• Ensure spare parts inventory is adequate and monitor inventory dollar levels.
• Storeroom records for reordering supplies are maintained.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• Supervise Storeroom Supervisor.
