Woodland Direct is seeking a Technical Sales Support Representative I to assist customers, contractors, and our sales team with product selection, installation questions, troubleshooting, and technical support for our hearth products. Hybrid role in Auburn Hills, MI.

We value mechanical aptitude, technical curiosity, and a passion for helping people solve problems. No hearth experience needed — we'll teach you the industry.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable learning technical product information.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within CRM and business systems.
• Ability to type 30+ WPM (50+ WPM preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in HVAC, construction, hearth, or related technical field strongly preferred.
• Willingness to begin working toward National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certification; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support before and after the sale.
• Assist customers with installation, troubleshooting, and product questions.
• Support Sales and Customer Service teams with technical expertise.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns while delivering exceptional service.
• Become a product expert in assigned hearth product categories.
