Position Overview

The Senior Application Development Technical Services Lead Engineer is responsible for optimizing customer processes and conditions while providing education to external customers on how to run Formerra materials. Responsibilities include tooling design, flow modeling, troubleshooting customer issues, developing new applications, product launch testing plans, data analysis, and communicating results. Candidates should have over five years of relevant experience, with the ability to interact effectively across functions and globally, both internally and with customers. The role requires handling moderately complex issues, providing leadership or mentorship, and working under general supervision. Up to 75% travel may be required. The ideal candidate will work remotely in Colorado.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage projects related to new applications, product launch testing, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify technical specifications.
  • Train sales associates on polymers, processing, and design.
  • Provide training to customers, OEMs, and at industry events.
  • Integrate Formerra products into customer applications across business units.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on OEM material and market needs.
  • Prepare documentation and specifications for products and services.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues successfully.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives at key customers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
  • Strong problem-solving skills to translate customer needs into solutions.
  • Technical aptitude with broad knowledge of materials and processing.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Polymer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical writing, customer support, research, and project management.
