Mission/Purpose of the Job

This role supports new and after-market sales products through technical and application expertise in the Americas. It acts as a resource for regional sales channels regarding product selection, configuration, and application suitability. The position involves collaborating with the technical sales development team and high vacuum, industrial, and service teams.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support product installations, startup assistance, and qualifications at customer sites during testing phases.
  2. Train customers on the proper application of Leybold products.
  3. Train sales channels and support functions on product selection for process applications.
  4. Provide consulting, application, and technical support for product-related questions.
  5. Recommend vacuum equipment for known applications.
  6. Prepare and deliver product presentations.
  7. Perform vacuum calculations and related analyses using appropriate tools.
  8. Develop application knowledge of Leybold products in various market segments.
  9. Contribute new application information to the Knowledge Warehouse.
  10. Assist regional marketing with new product launches.
  11. Handle customer complaints and support warranty decisions via the CCM system.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Regular exposure to mechanical parts, outdoor weather, fumes, airborne particles, and occasional high, precarious places, chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibrations. The noise level is usually loud. The role involves sitting, standing, walking, climbing, typing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and frequent computer use. Travel up to 50% is required, often overnight or for multiple days. The position is primarily remote with some days in the lab or office.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • B.S. in a technical discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years in technical product support or field service in the vacuum industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, customer-focused, critical thinking, detail-oriented, adaptable, and self-motivated.

Location-Based Pay Range

$69,547 - $90,006 in Colorado.
