Your role and responsibilities


In this role, you will be planning, presenting, and helping to manage new and current ABB Analytics opportunities for our Continuous Gas Analyzer & CEMS business in the US. The ideal candidate will be technically sound, experienced in CGA and CEMS, well-spoken, and driven to succeed in meeting and exceeding our customer's needs. The work model for the role is remote. #LI-Remote. Relocation assistance not eligible for this position. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa at this time for this role. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identify potential projects and present ABB CGA and CEMS Solutions tailored for our customers, supporting channel partners and working with sales teams to drive business.
  2. Grow ABB's CGA & CEMS business in line with our go-to-market strategy, acting as the front line for offering and executing solutions.
  3. Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly, providing market insights for decision-making.
  4. Communicate the end-user value proposition for Analytics and support local sales with promotion and training activities.
  5. Achieve key targets (volume, price, mix) for Analytics in the East Region through detailed business planning and follow-up.
  6. Identify and prioritize major CGA & CEMS accounts, managing relationships and performance with key customers.
  7. Collaborate with sales to identify future opportunities, negotiate agreements, and manage risks.
  8. Report segment progress and identify future opportunities using common tools.

Qualifications for the role

  • Associate Degree in technology with 5+ years' experience in instrumentation, sales, technical roles, or project management.
  • Solid understanding of Analytics including GC's, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, and CWA; instrumentation knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to leverage industry relationships for new opportunities.
  • Skill in designing customer-specific solutions integrating ABB products.
  • Focus on end-user needs, goals, buying, and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, partners, and customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically, with occasional international travel for training.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
