Job summary

SMS group Inc. in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to support project managers and field service teams, handling quotes, orders, and customer communications.

This role will interface with customers and vendors, support cycle-count activities, and coordinate cross-functionally to ensure on-time project delivery in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal and customer service skills are a must.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is a must.
• ERP experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to interpret blueprints/drawings for order quotation and accuracy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager(s) and Execution team.
• Serve as a point of contact for servicing orders.
• Process quotations and orders; communicate with customers to ensure accuracy; prepare final quotations.
• Enter sales orders into Global Shop Solutions (GSS) with accuracy; assist managing the project to completion with customers/vendors/contractors.
• Assist inventory team with cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel approximately 10%.
