Technical Sales Representative (Commercial Laundry)

Washing Systems, LLC (WSI), now part of the Kao family of companies, is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Representative (TSR) to join our team. WSI is the largest supplier of commercial laundry detergents in North America, providing high-quality products to linen and uniform rental companies. The TSR will work remotely and on client sites within their territory, offering technical solutions, identifying sales opportunities, and building long-term relationships with management at customer locations. The ideal candidate has strong technical or mechanical skills, field service experience, excellent technological and people skills, and is adept at problem-solving and troubleshooting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Promote and sell the full product line to existing customers.
  2. Develop prospect lists, establish relationships, and acquire new customers.
  3. Maintain appropriate sales coverage within your territory.
  4. Provide service, maintenance, and communication for 6–10 accounts.
  5. Install and program chemical dosing equipment.
  6. Lead planning and execution of new installations or conversions.
  7. Maintain company-provided equipment.
  8. Operate within the expense budget.
  9. Collect past due accounts receivable, if applicable.
  10. Eliminate rush orders.
  11. Submit reports timely.

The above describes general responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical, or related field, with 1-2 years of industry experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Military background is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based software.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision and focus adjustment required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands.

Work Environment:

  • Travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Work may involve wet/humid conditions, extreme heat, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels, especially near production areas.
