Washing Systems, LLC (WSI), now part of the Kao family of companies, seeks a highly self-motivated Technical Sales Representative (TSR) to join our thriving team. WSI is the largest supplier of commercial laundry detergents in North America, providing high-quality commercial laundry and chemical products to both uniform and linen rental companies.
Working remotely and on client sites within your assigned territory, the TSR is responsible for providing technical solutions for plant operations, identifying and executing sales opportunities through data analysis, and developing long-term relationships with all levels of management in your customer base. This role is crucial as it represents the face of our organization, and our thoughtful service is key to our exponential business growth. The ideal candidate has strong technical or mechanical acumen, prior field service experience, excellent technological, people, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Promote and sell the full product line to existing customers.
- Develop a key sales prospect list, establish relationships, and acquire new customers.
- Maintain appropriate sales coverage within your territory.
- Provide service, maintenance, and communication for 6-10 accounts.
- Install and program WSI chemical dosing equipment interfacing with customer washing equipment.
- Plan and execute new installations and conversions within your territory.
- Maintain all company-provided equipment in proper working condition.
- Operate within the assigned expense budget.
- Collect past due accounts receivable where applicable.
- Eliminate rush orders of products.
- Submit all reports timely.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical, or related field, with 1-2 years of industry experience; or equivalent education and experience.
- Military background is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical/mechanical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and order processing software.
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision and focus adjustment abilities.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, and talking or hearing.
Work Environment:
- At least 50% travel to and from customer sites.
- Plant environment may include wet/humid conditions, extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Moderate noise level, potentially loud in production areas.
