Job summary

Northwest Houston-based role for a Technical Sales Support Specialist combines technical knowledge with customer service to guide projects from quote to delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with 2+ years of related experience will also be considered.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in understanding how products and systems work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Customer-focused mindset with professional communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for technical, product, pricing, and project-related questions.
• Review customer requests, interpret technical specifications, gather project details, and prepare quotations and bid packages.
• Track projects through quoting, approval, order entry, and delivery stages to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, production, and product management to develop solutions.
• Recommend alternative products or specifications to meet requirements while potentially reducing costs.
• Assist with drawings, submittals, specifications, approvals, and other project documentation.
• Monitor product information, pricing, order status, and delivery schedules; keep customers informed.
• Develop strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Document feedback and coordinate responses to concerns, helping identify practical solutions.
