We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Manager for our client KASTO. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a strong engineering background and proven success in capital equipment, automation, or material handling solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical consulting skills with a true hunter mentality, developing customized solutions for clients in metal distribution, manufacturing, and related industries.

Position Overview

KASTO is seeking an experienced and driven Technical Sales Manager to join its growing U.S. team. This is a critical role focused on expanding the company’s presence in the U.S. market through direct sales of automated storage systems, automation and material handling solutions. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, creating optimized material flow concepts, managing project-based sales cycles, and maintaining customer relationships throughout the pre-sales and post-sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development by identifying and engaging prospective customers in target industries, especially in metal, distribution and manufacturing.
  • Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to closing for customized storage solutions.
  • Provide technical consulting to customers regarding solution possibilities and collaborate closely to create final solution designs.
  • Collaborate with KASTO’s engineering and presales teams in Germany to develop technical proposals and project plans.
  • Lead contract negotiations to ensure fair terms and successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in CRM systems; prepare reports and manage sales pipelines
  • Develop strong relationships with technical buyers, project managers, and procurement leaders
  • Represent KASTO at industry events, customer site visits, and trade shows.
  • Contribute to U.S. business growth and help maintain existing clients.
  • Participate in a detailed onboarding and product training at KASTO’s German headquarters.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline required.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience, ideally in capital equipment, automation, or industrial machinery.
  • Proven success managing long sales cycles for high-value, project-based solutions.
  • Strong mechanical and logistical understanding and the ability to communicate with technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong sales acumen with a hunter mentality, ability to proactively acquire new customers.
  • Proficient in CRM systems; experience with ERP platforms like SAP is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S, about 80% including day and overnight travel and occasionally to Canada and Germany
