Technical Sales Manager

Role Description

The Technical Sales Manager for the North American Broadband market will have the primary responsibility of supporting the sales efforts across a defined regional territory within the United States and Canada for regional broadband internet service providers as well as any other accounts delegated. The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for implementing the strategic framework, economic drivers, and tactical execution plan to achieve profitable growth.

Location

Remote – this position is 100% Remote anywhere in the Southeast US region or Texas/Oklahoma/Missouri.

What you will be doing:
  • Supporting a focused GTM execution plan through account management strategies that identify growth opportunities, leverage market intelligence, and focus in-market activity.
  • Driving focus and execution across coverage regions & accounts, engaging sales and product management teams.
  • Creating and managing a pipeline process across accounts, expanding opportunities through direct and indirect channels.
  • Driving proactive new business development with best practices.

Implement the strategy and culture to create sales effectiveness and operational excellence:

  • Enhancing operational efficiency via Harmonic enablement tools and systems.
  • Focusing on structured selling methodologies to ensure a predictable, high-quality order book and pipeline.
  • Identifying customer needs and proposing Harmonic solutions.
  • Delivering technical presentations to explain product and service value.
  • Participating in BOM development and quote generation.
  • Planning and coordinating sales events.
  • Driving process improvements beneficial to the team.
What you should have:
  • Experience in a leading technical sales role, preferably in fiber or cable access infrastructure.
  • Account management experience in targeted markets.
  • Experience selling high-value solutions.
  • Knowledge of GTM models, sales methodologies, and industry standards like SCTE, DOCSIS, FTTx, PON.
  • Strong relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability in new business development and tactical sales positioning.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to articulate solutions.
  • Experience selling at tactical and executive levels.
Education and Training

BS/BA and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within targeted market sectors and accounts.

Travel

Willingness to travel extensively (~50%) for client opportunities and team development.

Pay & Benefits

Base salary range: $110,000 - $125,000, depending on market, location, and qualifications.
