Job summary

ERMCO in Athens, GA is seeking a Sales Engineer to translate transformer specifications into manufacturable solutions. Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing customer relationships and accounts.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset and commitment to supporting organizational objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience with transformer technologies preferred.
• Experience with chiller systems and solar energy technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify technical needs and recommend transformer solutions and services that align with customer specifications and ERMCO capabilities.
• Review RFQs, drawings, data sheets, and technical documents to identify requirements for complete quotes.
• Respond to RFQs quickly by coordinating clarifications and preparing quotation inputs.
• Assist with the development and validation of transformer bills of materials.
• Evaluate designs against standard offerings, material availability, and plant capabilities; identify exceptions or alternatives.
• Support strategic opportunities in complex sales cycles with technical and pricing alignment.
• Develop product recommendations and communicate technical fit and pricing considerations.
• Understand costing and margin impacts to support competitive quotations.
