Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in transformer design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and FEA tools.
• Experience interfacing with ERP systems and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, CSA standards and DOE requirements for transformers.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and develop transformers and related components, ensuring compliance with standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct analyses to optimize product performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Perform failure analyses and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, sales, and service to integrate designs into production.
• Participate in design reviews and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to keep designs competitive.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
