Smalley Steel Ring Company seeks a Technical Sales Representative to cover the U.S. market from Lake Zurich, IL. You will nurture leads, conduct meetings (in-person and virtual), and work with Marketing, Estimating and Quality to grow the territory.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and 3–5 years of technical sales experience, with strong communication and travel willingness (up to 10–12 weeks/yr). Base salary $65k–$75k; bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–5 years of technical sales experience with direct customer contact.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer sales activity and nurture leads.
• Plan and execute meetings with customers in the U.S. territory.
• Develop territory through frequent customer contact and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Estimating, and Quality teams.
• Travel to meet customers as needed.
