Job summary

ekatec Inc. in Duncan, SC seeks a technically curious, hands-on Sales Engineer to support customer applications across the Southeast.

You will visit customer plants, gather application data and collaborate with our German engineering team to design standard tools or prototypes. The role involves supporting trials, quotes, and active projects, with opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical, manufacturing, engineering, industrial sales or similar area preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Hands-on and solution-oriented mindset on a plant floor.
• Confidence communicating with engineers, operators and customer personnel.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer plants and work directly with process engineers, maintenance teams and operators.
• Understand assembly applications and identify access, tooling, quality and ergonomic challenges.
• Gather application information including dimensions, tooling interfaces, torque requirements, photos and drawings.
• Recommend standard ekatec products and collaborate with our Germany-based engineering team on custom tools and prototypes.
• Support product trials and help validate solutions on the production line.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders and active customer projects.
• Maintain clear customer and opportunity information in our CRM.
• Assist in developing additional applications within existing accounts.
• Support new opportunities alongside North American sales leadership.
