Job summary

Qnity is seeking an engineering professional to design and manufacture support for key customers throughout the Southeast region, from Florida to Virginia. With minimal supervision, you will work with sales and manufacturing to hit targets and deliver robust design solutions.

You will collaborate with OEMs and internal teams, provide technical design support, and translate ideas into production-ready documentation. Expect up to 50% travel and a strong emphasis on quality and system integration.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Proficient with SolidWorks or equivalent solid-modeling software.
• Experience with Abaqus, HFSS, Icepak, or COMSOL for multiphysics analysis.
• Understanding of Finite Element Analysis techniques.
• Strong communication and ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Experience as an OEM design team extension from system to component level.
• Thermal, electromagnetic, mechanical, or electrical design experience required.
• Experience with electronics system architecture to block diagram level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OEM engineers, manufacturers reps, distribution partners, and territory sales managers to implement Laird solutions.
• Attend customer meetings and provide technical design support while building relationships with stakeholders.
• Utilize Laird and Qnity products to solve customer challenges with detailed design solutions.
• Present design solutions to customers, using modeling and simulation during presentations.
• Drive customer interactions, prototype, and initial production builds to meet timelines.
• Originate and release final production documentation with critical dimensions and tolerances.
• Manage and direct a project through a cross-discipline design team.
• Coordinate internal activities to meet development requirements and timelines.
• Set priorities for multiple programs in development.
• Travel to customer sites ~50% to provide design-specific solutions.
• Maintain quality and safety systems and standards.
