Job summary

Flowserve is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to manage and expand our portfolio of engineered centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, auxiliary systems, and QRC services at the Benicia facility. You will be the dedicated commercial and technical partner driving reliability, upgrades, and parts orders with executive visibility and strong incentive potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Flowserve commercial and technical representative embedded at the facility.
• Drive annual bookings and revenue targets for industrial pumps, mechanical seal systems, component parts, and QRC repair services.
• Walk unit operations daily, partner with plant reliability and maintenance engineers, identify underperforming assets, and propose engineered retrofits or API 610/API 682 upgrades.
• Coordinate end-to-end proposal generation with Application Engineers, Estimators, and the Benicia Quick Response Center (QRC) to ensure accurate pricing, scopes of work, and delivery timelines.
• Support unit turnarounds, planned outages, and emergency repairs by expediting critical spare parts, seal replacements, and shop overhauls.
• Lead commercial negotiations, quote presentations, and contract renewals while maintaining target gross margins and profitability.
• Conduct root cause failure analyses (RCFA) in collaboration with technical specialists to resolve recurring equipment reliability issues.
