Job summary

The ideal candidate has a physics or mechanical engineering background, hands‑on lab experience, and strong communication skills. Travel to customer sites and trade shows is required to support the sales process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical engineering, physics or related technical field.
• 1-5 years of relevant lab, R&D, applications engineering, or technical sales experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience designing and executing experiments and interpreting data.
• Strong grasp of mechanical engineering and/or physics fundamentals (materials, thermodynamics, mechanics, instrumentation).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, lab evaluations, and technical presentations for prospective customers.
• Provide pre-sales technical support, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and prepare technical proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and R&D to relay customer feedback for development.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluation, installation, or post-sale.
