Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to advance fuels dewaxing and synthetic fuels solutions from its Spring, TX campus. You will lead technical offerings, interact with customers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop tailored, high‑value solutions and proposals.

The role emphasizes strong chemical engineering expertise, experience in fuels processing, and the ability to manage partnerships and IP‑related discussions while traveling internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Chemical Engineer with 7+ years in fuels process technology (10+ preferred).
• Experience in reactor sizing, catalyst deactivation, kinetics and modelling.
• Background in bio-fuels, hydrotreating, hydrocracking or catalytic dewaxing.
• Operations experience or rotation as a contact engineer preferred.
• Experience developing technical proposals and project economics (NPV).
• Familiarity with pilot plants and catalytic technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop competitive technical proposals with clear value propositions.
• Interface with customers as the technical contact and communicate technology benefits.
• Support Marketing to grow business value and prepare technical materials.
• Coordinate with ExxonMobil Technical Support on proposals and guides.
• Lead catalyst licensing discussions with IP teams and assess risks.
• Identify opportunities for incremental technology improvements.
