Job summary

Davalyn Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support customers in Southern California, including Orange County and LA metro. The role combines technical tool knowledge with field sales against aerospace, defense, medical device, and precision manufacturing accounts.

You will provide hands-on applications support for carbide cutting tools, CNC processes, and 5-axis/Swiss machining, build long-term relationships, deliver product demonstrations, and guide customers

Qualifications

• Background in carbide cutting tools and precision manufacturing.
• Experience in technical sales or applications engineering in cutting tools industry.
• Strong knowledge of solid carbide and indexable tooling.
• Desirable knowledge of 5-axis and Swiss-type machining.
• Travel ability across Southern California territory.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales and applications support for CNC milling, turning, 5-axis, Swiss machining.
• Develop relationships with machine shops and aerospace/medical customers in Southern California.
• Recommend cutting tools based on machining requirements and goals.
• Support tooling selection, feeds and speeds, and cycle-time reductions.
• Conduct on-site visits, demonstrations, and performance assessments.
• Collaborate with engineering resources to implement tooling solutions.
• Train distributors and end users with product guidance.
