Job summary

Davalyn Corporation has been retained to fill a Technical Sales Engineer role serving Orange County, Southern Los Angeles County, and nearby Southern California manufacturing markets. The position focuses on carbide cutting tools, CNC machining applications, and precision manufacturing, with emphasis on hands-on support for 5-axis and Swiss-type machining.

The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships with machine shops and aerospace/defense/medical device manufacturers,

Qualifications

• Experience with carbide tooling and metal cutting.
• Proven technical sales or applications engineering background.
• Experience with aerospace/defense/medical devices is preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales and applications support for CNC milling, turning, 5-axis machining, Swiss machining, and precision manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with machine shops and aerospace/medical device manufacturers in the territory.
• Recommend carbide cutting tools based on machining requirements, material specs, and production goals.
• Support tooling selection, feeds and speeds, and tool life improvements.
• Conduct on-site visits, tool evaluations, product demonstrations, and performance assessments.
• Identify new business opportunities while expanding relationships with key accounts.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop tooling solutions.
• Provide training and guidance to distributors and end users.
• Build relationships with distribution partners to support sales growth.
• Stay current with carbide tools and CAD/CAM technologies.
