- Conduct on-site product trials, troubleshoot machining issues, and recommend the appropriate use of indexable inserts, solid carbide end mills, HSS drills, and other round tools.
- Deliver high-value consultation to customers on tooling performance, including tool wear, chip control, cutting parameters, and material compatibility.
- Collaborate with distributors, plant managers, and engineers to develop customized tooling solutions and close technical sales.
- Provide training and demonstrations to shop floor teams and CNC programmers on tooling geometry, feeds and speeds, and machine setup best practices.
- Act as a trusted resource for optimizing machining performance, cycle times, and overall part quality.

- Strong hands-on background in machining, metal cutting, or chipmaking, with expertise in the use and selection of tools such as:
- Solid carbide end mills, indexable tools, HSS drills, thread mills, boring bars, reamers, taps, and grooving inserts.
- Toolholding and workholding systems including collets, vises, and modular fixtures.
- Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens NX) and G-code knowledge is a plus.
- Experience calling on aerospace machining, industrial fabricators, defense contractors, or automotive component manufacturers preferred.
- Deep understanding of cutting forces, heat zones, tool geometry, and their relationship to machine speeds, feeds, and part materials.
- Excellent presentation, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both on the shop floor and in executive-level discussions.
- Base Salary: Up to $90,000
- Incentives: Commission structure tied to sales performance
- Company Vehicle: Provided for business use
