Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a technical sales professional in Michigan to engage customers, understand their processes, and recommend magnetic separation and metal detection solutions. The role includes supporting CPQ processes, creating technical documentation, and aiding the Inside Sales team.

Candidates should have a Engineering degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in technical sales or applications engineering, and CAD/SolidWorks proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in technical sales, applications engineering, or solution consulting in manufacturing/automation/industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, magnetic separation, or related technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to train, educate, and collaborate with internal sales teams.
• Experience developing technical documentation, training materials, and sales support resources is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software, SolidWorks, or similar tools is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 30% for customer visits, trade shows, and training.
• Strong organizational skills and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand processes, challenges, and goals, recommending magnetic separation and metal detection solutions.
• Oversee technical editing and review of approval drawings for quotations and orders.
• Manage custom and specialty quotations and orders from inquiry through completion.
• Support Inside Sales with standard product quotations and orders as needed.
• Contribute to CPQ system development and pricing updates.
• Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle with recommendations and proposals.
• Serve as a technical resource for Inside Sales and Regional Sales Managers.
