PIPECARE US is currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas.
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing innovative solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations, with a strong customer focus and outstanding sales skills.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Document all inquiries received from clients.
- Assign new inquiries to proper project numbers.
- Obtain approval to bid or decline.
- Prepare cost estimates and propose project prices.
- Prepare technical proposals and submit to the territory director.
- Coordinate bid bond requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments during bidding or prequalification.
- Coordinate logistics for mobilization and demobilization.
- Assist sales in identifying new business opportunities.
- Understand technical aspects of our products and services.
- Work with Finance to prepare project cost estimates.
- Request site surveys when appropriate.
- Update customer information and manage inquiries in the CRM system.
- Prepare cost estimate reports.
- Provide reports to VP, country manager, and sales manager.
- Submit regular sales and project status reports.
- Ensure clear communication with the territory VP/country manager.
- Review tender documents thoroughly.
- Identify and communicate project risks.
- Respond promptly to inquiries.
- Ensure timely submission of complete bids.
- Transfer projects within 2 days of client confirmation.
- Achieve sales targets and maintain good customer relationships.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Physical Demands
- Frequent travel to client sites and industry events.
- Occasionally lift materials up to 25 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Work in various environmental conditions.
Skills/Experience Required
- BS in Engineering or equivalent technical experience with commercial skills.
- At least 3 years of technical sales experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in tender preparations.
- Interest in the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Additional qualifications in commercial activities are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish beneficial.
- Good computer skills and technical knowledge of ILI products.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector preferred.

- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Walk and climb as needed, including in industrial environments.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and focus.
- Wear safety equipment as required.
- Mobility and reflexes to perform duties and travel.
