Description

As a global leader in precision measurement sensing technologies, VPG addresses an expanding array of applications where accuracy, reliability, and repeatability are critical. Our innovations impact the design and safety of vehicles, medical equipment, and consumer products, making the world safer, smarter, and more productive.

We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Account Engineer to join our VPG Foil Resistors team for the West Coast territory. The primary goal is to generate new design wins by engaging with engineers at existing and new customers, ensuring continued use of Foil Resistors, and exploring new business opportunities.

Applicant must reside in Western US territory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct weekly onsite and virtual customer visits.
  2. Generate and manage new business opportunities in target market segments.
  3. Build relationships with design engineers and strategic accounts.
  4. Promote VPG Foil Resistor brands: Alpha Electronics, VFR, Powertron, and APR.
  5. Develop strategic plans for market segment penetration.
  6. Perform technical consultations and product presentations.
  7. Maintain detailed account reports and CRM documentation.
  8. Target market segments including Data Center Fiber Optics, ATE/Semiconductor, EV Battery Management Infrastructure, Space Satellite Communication, Industrial Automation.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BEng).
  2. 5+ years of successful face-to-face technical electronics sales experience.
  3. OEM Experience.
  4. New Business Development experience.
  5. Proven track record in achieving design-in objectives.
  6. Residence in a Western US state.
  7. Strong technical knowledge of passive components preferred.
  8. Understanding of electronic component technologies.
  9. Strategic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Excellent communication skills in English.
  11. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Travel Expectations: up to 35% travel required.
