Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a 17-month contract in Durham, NC. The role is remote with occasional onsite days (1–2 times a month), and involves managing healthcare projects for a state health plan.

You will lead multi-team initiatives, coordinate with executives, and drive cross-functional delivery across IT, operations, and business units. Strong stakeholder management is essential.

Job Title: Technical Project Manager {NC} 4 openings

Location: Durham, NC - Remote but will have to go into office 1 or 2 times a month (PEOPLE FROM THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA WILL BE LOOKED AT FIRST)

Duration: 17 months contract

Hourly Pay: Up to $58.85/Hr

M-F 8-5 but able to be flexible an hour or two either way.

Location: Remote/Onsite Address At least two people need to be in the NC triangle (4 openings)

Industry experience: Healthcare, health plan, payer, insurance, TPA, PBM, claims, enrollment, or benefits administration experience

Experience & Scope

• 5 – 8years of project management experience
• Led large-scale, complexprojects with multiple concurrent workstreams
• Demonstrated ownership of project integration across workstreams
• Experience leading high-visibility initiatives with significant executive exposure

Leadership (Critical)

• Evidence of leading, driving, influencing, aligning, and resolving issues
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability, not just project administration
• Able to operate effectively in ambiguity and create structure
• Progressive increase in scope, complexity, and responsibility throughout career

Stakeholder Management (Mandatory)

• Strong stakeholder management skills clearly demonstrated
• Experience working directly with Directors, VPs, and Executive leadership
• Proven ability to influence decisions and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and executive presence

Cross-Functional Leadership (Mandatory)

Evidence of managing work across both IT and business organizations:
