Technical Project Manager/Lead IT Delivery & Operations
3 month contract (possible extension)
Location: hybrid, 3 days per week onsite in Atlanta, GA

About the Role

The Technical Project Manager will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and IT, helping drive critical modernization and process improvement initiatives across the organization. Rather than focusing primarily on budgets and administrative project management, this individual will gather and refine requirements, analyze end-to-end workflows, identify gaps, and ensure projects move forward with complete and accurate business requirements.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills with a technical foundation. This person will work closely with teams across Finance, Procurement, Operations, Product, and IT to understand current processes, connect missing pieces, and help translate business needs into effective technology solutions.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving process challenges, and can confidently work across both technical and non-technical teams. We welcome technical professionals, business analysts, product analysts, developers, QA professionals, and systems analysts who are looking to leverage their technical background in a more strategic, cross-functional role.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business and system requirements
• Analyze existing workflows and processes, identify gaps, and help design practical improvements
• Serve as the liaison between Product, IT, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other business teams
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and action items for ongoing initiatives
• Coordinate with IT, development, and support teams to ensure requirements are understood and aligned
• Create process maps, workflow documentation, and other artifacts that provide a complete view of business requirements
• Track project progress, dependencies, risks, and open items to ensure successful delivery
• Work closely with subject matter experts to understand legacy processes and support modernization efforts
• Facilitate discussions across teams to resolve ambiguities, identify missing requirements, and drive decision-making
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and AI-enabled process enhancements
• Document processes, decisions, requirements, and operational procedures to create sustainable knowledge transfer
• Help drive organizational change through strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement

Required Experience

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Project Coordinator, Technical Project Manager, or similar role
• Demonstrated success gathering requirements and working across both business and technical teams
• Strong ability to analyze workflows, identify gaps, and drive process improvements
• Experience facilitating communication between multiple stakeholder groups and building consensus
• Technical foundation with exposure to software development, systems analysis, QA/testing, databases, or related technical disciplines
• Working knowledge of technologies such as SQL, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar tools and languages
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, user stories, and business requirements documentation
• Background in software development, quality assurance, systems analysis, or product management
• Experience supporting modernization, transformation, or process improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira or Smartsheet
• Experience evaluating or implementing automation solutions
• Knowledge of AI-enabled business processes, workflow automation, or AI-assisted product delivery
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems
