The role requires a strong engineering background and experience guiding enterprise‑level tech projects, with emphasis on crisis management and agile delivery.

The successful candidate will coordinate AI/ML engineers, data scientists, ETL and infrastructure teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive SDLC governance using WRIKE and best practices

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager specializing in crisis management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and experience in technical project management. This role involves standing up a PMO under the Tax Modernization Initiative, which lives under FinTech. The candidate will report to the two PMs overseeing the total initiative.

Responsibilities

• Crisis Management: Address and resolve issues related to project delays and budget overruns.
• Program Management: Oversee the Tax Modernization Initiative, ensuring high communication and transparency.
• Detail-Oriented: Dive into the details to find solutions and ensure project success.
• Enterprise-level Tech Projects: Manage enterprise-level tech projects or implementations, particularly in retail systems and item catalogs.
• Engineering Resources: Work with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, ETL specialists, infrastructure teams, and data pipelining experts.
• Stakeholder Communication: Handle strong stakeholder communication and management, balancing competing pressures.
• Agile Methodology: Utilize Agile practices (Kanban or Scrum) to manage projects effectively.
• Project Planning: Use WRIKE for program planning and SDLC management.
• Flexibility: Adapt to building various models, each with unique requirements.
• Tax Technologies: Exposure to and understanding of tax technologies is a plus.
