Job summary

Field AI is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead planning and execution of 3D mapping projects while remaining hands-on with the underlying technology. This hybrid role blends software engineering and project management to advance mapping systems from concept to production deployment.

The ideal candidate has a strong robotics software background, is fluent with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of robotics software development and technical project management experience.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
Experience with 3D geometry and point cloud processing (PCL/Open3D).
Experience using Jira, Confluence, Wrike, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of Agile development and SDLC.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software for 3D mapping solutions.
Deploy large-scale mapping systems and data processing pipelines into production.
Validate mapping systems with real robots and sensors in unstructured environments.
Build tooling, automation, and benchmarking infrastructure for reliability.
