Job summary

Swoon, a global data and analytics company, seeks a Technical Project Manager to guide two major modernization programs. Remote work available for EST or CST time zones, with a 1-year contract and potential extension.

Lead roadmaps, milestones, and governance across architecture, security, product, and finance teams. You will influence senior leaders, manage risks, and deliver multi-million-dollar initiatives with strong communication and strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Program/Project Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology or modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience with cloud transformation, preferably Azure.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-million-dollar programs, including budgets, governance, and funding.
• Experience working with VP/SVP/CTO-level stakeholders and executive governance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to influence without authority.

Location: Remote - EST or CST

Contract Duration: 1 year with potential to extend/convert

Pay rate: $48-52/hr

About this role:

• Lead two high-priority, multi-year technology modernization programs focused on Azure cloud transformation, application modernization, and middleware upgrades.
• Own the overall program roadmap, timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones across multiple technical and business teams.
• Partner closely with Architecture, Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, and executive leadership to drive alignment and execution.
• Lead executive governance and steering committee meetings, providing clear updates on program health, risks, financials, dependencies, and progress.
• Drive accountability and decision-making across complex organizations, often influencing teams and senior leaders without direct authority.

Experience:

• 10+ years of Program/Project Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology or modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience with cloud transformation, preferably Azure, as well as application, infrastructure, middleware, API, microservices, or platform modernization.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-million-dollar programs, including budgets, financial governance, business cases, resource planning, and funding.
• Experience working with VP/SVP/CTO-level stakeholders, leading steering committees, executive reporting, and governance in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of managing risks and dependencies, navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and driving cross-functional teams toward delivery.
