Transformation Project Manager

Contract

We are seeking a dynamic Transformation Project Manager to support a high-impact, $54 million transformation initiative. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient and effective execution of project activities, including managing project schedules, coordinating meetings, tracking progress, and maintaining essential documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery models
Plan and manage all project phases including scheduling, scope, cost, risk, change, and status reporting
Lead software implementation projects including custom, COTS, and SaaS systems
Oversee technology operations readiness for multiple concurrent projects
Track and report project milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate key decisions
Manage and update projects in a strategic portfolio management tool
Collaborate across IT and business functions to ensure process adoption and technology alignment
Lead procurement processes and provide continuity through knowledge transfer
Support the rollout of data governance capabilities and IT process improvements

Program Goals

This position supports a strategic transformation program focused on:

Replacing legacy systems with configurable off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions
Establishing a robust Data Management capability including governance and stewardship
Implementing enhanced IT processes, support models, and training to ensure value realization from new technologies

Desired Skills & Experience

Proven experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies
Strong understanding of SDLC and project management best practices (PMBoK)
Experience managing large data migrations and data exchange interfaces
Expertise in leading software implementation projects (COTS, SaaS, and custom development)
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planview, Azure DevOps)
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with prioritization and escalation skills
Knowledge of procurement processes and experience in public-sector or government environments is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certifications
Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs in the public sector
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and organizational change management
