Insight Global is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a large-scale hyperscale data center workforce program in Burlington, TX. This individual will serve as a key operational partner to the Program Manager, helping drive workforce readiness, technician deployment, budget oversight, vendor coordination, and program performance across multiple active data center projects.This position is ideal for someone who has grown out of the field and understands fiber, structured cabling, low-voltage infrastructure, and data center operations, but is now looking to leverage that experience in a project management capacity. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between field teams, client stakeholders, subcontractors, recruiters, and program leadership while ensuring operational excellence across the entire technician deployment lifecycle.
Partner closely with the Program Manager to coordinate technician onboarding, training progression, deployment, and workforce readiness.Track and report on workforce KPIs including staffing levels, training completion, certifications, deployment status, retention, and productivity metrics.Manage project budgets, purchase orders, invoicing, and financial tracking to ensure program spend aligns with forecasted targets.Serve as a liaison between Insight Global, client stakeholders, field leadership, and workforce development partners.Support scheduling and deployment of technicians across active data center projects.Maintain project documentation including status reports, action item logs, risk registers, meeting notes, and operational dashboards.Monitor technician performance and field execution to ensure project milestones and quality standards are achieved.Analyze operational and workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Create executive-level reports and present program updates to leadership teams.Support governance meetings and drive accountability across stakeholders.Utilize Microsoft and AI-enabled productivity tools to streamline reporting and operational processes.Travel periodically to project sites to support workforce deployment, stakeholder meetings, and field operations reviews.
3+ years of experience leading or coordinating field operations within low-voltage, structured cabling, fiber optic, telecommunications, or data center environments.Strong understanding of fiber optic installation, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment practices.Experience with structured cabling systems, rack installation, pathways, and data center infrastructure.Experience managing budgets, purchase orders, invoices, or project financial tracking.Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, field teams, and project deliverables simultaneously.Strong reporting and organizational skills with experience maintaining project documentation and KPI tracking.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.Ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with field personnel, leadership teams, and client stakeholdersPrior experience as a Lead Technician, Foreman, Site Supervisor, Fiber Lead, Structured Cabling Lead, Low-Voltage Project Coordinator, or Data Center Construction Lead.Experience supporting hyperscale data center projects.Experience with workforce development, technician training, onboarding, or workforce deployment programs.Experience building dashboards, reporting packages, and executive presentations.Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Planner, Teams, Power BI, and Copilot.Experience working within a managed services, staffing, or workforce solution environment.
