Job summary

Insight Global in Burlington, TX is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Installer to support a large-scale hyperscale data center construction project. You will install, route, secure, and dress both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber cabling across the campus.

Ideal candidates have hands-on fiber infrastructure experience in data centers or telecom, read blueprints and installation drawings, and demonstrate commitment to safety and quality on demanding industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of fiber optic installation experience.
• Experience installing OSP and ISP fiber optic cabling.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and installation drawings.
• Familiarity with conduit, innerduct, cable tray, and underground systems.
• Experience with fiber testing and troubleshooting equipment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, secure, and dress OSP and ISP fiber cabling.
• Read blueprints, cable schedules, and installation drawings.
• Perform fiber testing and troubleshoot with OTDR or power meters.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on large-scale projects.

Our client is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Installer to support a large-scale hyperscale data center construction project in Burlington, Texas. This individual will be responsible for installing, routing, securing, and dressing both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber optic cabling throughout the campus. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with fiber infrastructure in data center, telecommunications, or large commercial construction environments and can work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

2-3+ years of fiber optic installation experienceExperience installing OSP and ISP fiber optic cablingAbility to pull, route, secure, label, and dress fiber cablesExperience working on large commercial, industrial, telecommunications, or data center construction projectsAbility to read and follow blueprints, cable schedules, and installation drawingsFamiliarity with cable pathways including conduit, innerduct, cable tray, and underground systemsUnderstanding of fiber handling best practices to prevent damage and maintain bend radius requirementsReliable transportation and ability to work overtime as project demands requireStrong commitment to safety and quality standardsFiber termination experienceFiber testing and troubleshooting experience utilizing OTDR, power meters, or related equipmentExperience on hyperscale data center projectsManufacturer certifications or industry certifications related to fiber opticsExperience with structured cabling installationsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
