Job summary

Brose Sitech is seeking a capable project manager to oversee the installation and startup of a foam production factory in the United States. You will coordinate the entire process from start to factory completion, working closely with the European technical group to meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires strong technical project management and communication skills, plus experience coordinating suppliers and teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate from project start to factory completion (approximately 2 years).
• Manage timing, resources, and costs for the duration of the project.
• Source and coordinate local equipment suppliers with guidance from the European team.
• Coordinate schedules and timelines with European colleagues and suppliers.
• Track costs versus budgets and equipment construction contracts.
• Arrange temporary offices and facilities during installation until permanent facilities are ready.

Job description

• Oversee and manage the installation and startup of a foam production factory project with direction and technical guidance from the European technical group
• Responsible for the implementation and coordination of the project from start to factory completion (approximately 2 years)
• Manage timing, resources, and cost for the duration of the project
• The project is a combination of the installation and startup of equipment sourced both in Europe and locally
• Help source and coordinate potential local equipment suppliers with specification guidance from the European technical team
• Coordinate with European team members and chosen equipment suppliers, especially related to schedules and meeting installation and startup timelines
• Responsible for achieving project milestones, costs and technical specification requirements
• Cost tracking versus budgets and equipment construction contracts
• Coordinate and arrange temporary offices, sanitary facilities, secure storage areas, etc. during the equipment installation until permanent facilities are available
• Work with affected groups, support the setup of infrastructure needed for the production facility, including power distribution, compressed air supply, specialty areas of the plant, maintenance, tooling, and quality areas, offices, social rooms, support facilities, etc.
