Job summary

Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG in Michigan seeks a seasoned production leader to guide manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, delivery, cost and people development.

You will plan capacity, supervise shifts, and partner with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics and Engineering to optimize performance. Perfect candidates have a technical degree or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience, 5+ years in production with leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production operation while achieving targets for Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
• Plan and manage production capacity, including manpower, equipment, and resources, to meet customer and business requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop employees to build a high-performing team.
• Develop and implement shift schedules and workforce plans to support production objectives.
• Monitor KPIs and initiate corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis.
• Promote continuous improvement using Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work).
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain safety culture and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, and Planning to improve performance and on-time delivery.

Your Tasks

• Ensuring a safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production operation while achieving targets for Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People
• Planning and managing production capacity, including manpower, equipment, and resources, to meet customer and business requirements
• Leading, coaching and developing employees to build a high-performing team
• Developing and implementing shift schedules and workforce plans to support production objectives
• Monitoring and driving key performance indicators (KPIs), initiating corrective actions to achieve operational targets
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving production issues, bottlenecks, equipment failures, and quality concerns through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Promoting and leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Work
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards, operating procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Collaborating closely with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, and Planning teams to improve overall production performance and ensuring on-time customer delivery

Your Profile

• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience, with demonstrated success in production leadership or supervisory role
• At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production-related systems (e.g., SAP, MES) preferred
