Qualifications

• This position is onsite in San Carlos, CA.
• 5–10% travel may be required.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Project Management with a focus on Product Development in biotech or life sciences.
• Extensive knowledge of the product development process (PDP) and implementation experience.
• Experience taking a product from concept to successful commercial launch.
• Technical expertise across life sciences, software, hardware, assays and consumables.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical team to a successful first commercial launch with accountability for readiness across technical and commercial functions.
• Manage multiple large-scale projects for development of the Nautilus platform including assays, consumables, software and hardware.
• Define project scope, objectives and quarterly goals aligned with company programs; report status via dashboards.
• Develop plans, milestones and deliverables from conception to product release with actionable ownership.
• Create and manage detailed schedules; adopt schedule management strategies with team leads.
• Translate technical risks into actionable plans with measurable metrics; connect dependencies across teams.
• Identify risks and mitigate obstacles to ensure milestones are met on tight timelines.
• Framing tradeoffs in commercial terms to support rapid leadership decisions.
• Communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders clearly.
• Identify technical resource gaps; coordinate with managers to address staffing needs.
• Use project management tools (Smartsheets, Jira, Excel) to establish processes and track progress.
• Prepare agendas, lead meetings and distribute minutes and action items.
• Own the integrated commercial launch plan bridging R&D, Operations, Commercial and Service for launch readiness.
