Canopy Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams delivering thermal protection solutions from concept to production. You will be the primary technical liaison between customers and internal groups, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.

This role emphasizes front-end program development, capture efforts, and translating customer needs into executable programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management or similar role with a high degree of technical ownership
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or higher)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Experience managing programs in aerospace/defense or advanced materials
• Experience with launch vehicles, missile systems, thermal protection systems, or composite materials
• Proven leadership in overseeing cross-functional engineering products from concept to delivery
• Familiarity with CAD tools to support engineering collaboration
• Comfort with risk management, milestones, and KPI tracking
• Proficient in documenting and presenting to executives

• Serve as technical liaison for customers and translate feedback into tasks
• Represent technical content to stakeholders and partners
• Support proposal and capture efforts with requirements and budgets
• Coordinate joint development across affiliated companies and units
• Support technical execution to meet objectives and timelines
• Identify and mitigate program risks with contingency plans
• Track progress with KPIs and dashboards
• Develop technical reports and executive-level presentations
• Travel to customer sites and facilities as needed
