Job summary

Canopy A&D in Ontario, CA is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead their team in the design and development of mechanical components and systems. The role requires over 10 years of experience in mechanical design, strong leadership skills, and expertise in thermal protection systems.

The ideal candidate will also manage engineering KPIs and collaborate closely with executive leadership to drive projects from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design and manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage engineering teams and technical programs.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
• Direct the design of advanced mechanical components and assemblies.
• Oversee documentation ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
