Ericsson is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join us as a Technical Program Manager of Carrier Certifications. Keys to success in this position include experience managing product development and/or product releases that are gated by certifications. Applicant should be familiar with electronics, product design and issues commonly encountered with hardware/firmware devices. Daily tasks include certification submissions, vendor relationship building, 3rd party lab management, creation/review/delivery of reports – all with project-completion urgency.

This individual contributor role enjoys a broad range of responsibilities ranging from strategic to tactical and brings expertise in project management, cross-functional program management and vendor management. What you will do:
  • Submission, management and completion of worldwide cellular certifications of Ericsson's hardware platforms.
  • Development and maintenance of carrier technical relationships for highest level quality and quickest approval outcomes.
  • Liaison and manager to carrier operators and labs worldwide, influencing and leading appropriate work scope and costs, ensuring accurate execution of tests and delivery of results to meet carrier operator certification requirements.
  • Preparation and support of devices throughout the lab testing process, including technical issue tracking and resolution.
  • Regular, on-going communication with lab partners for efficient and effective results.
  • Preparation and maintenance of schedules and milestones, with regular status tracking reports.
The skills you bring:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years industry experience in R&D product development, program management and/or project management.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in meeting performance, schedule and cost goals.
  • Fluent in project management tools and processes.
  • Experience with cross-functional issues impacting R&D efficiency and TTM; experience with managing external resources and labs preferred.
  • Technical expertise with routers and general networking fundamentals required; technical familiarity with cellular modems/networks preferred.
  • Expertise in cellular-specific debug tools such as QXDM preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.

Your Pay

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is

  • NATIONAL MARKET: $88,800 - 133,200
  • PREMIUM MARKET: $96,000 - $144,000
  • BAY AREA MARKET: $104,800 - $157,200

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
