The Technical Staff Security Program Manager will oversee strategic initiatives for Data Security to protect Airbnb, enable InfoSec and cross-functional partners to increase velocity, and accelerate strategic outcomes. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technical program manager with a proven track record of managing large, complex, cross-functional initiatives with ambiguity and stakeholder engagement. They should possess a strong technical background, practical knowledge, and experience in data/software engineering, AI & ML, security, or related disciplines, with exposure to similar tech companies and technical stacks. Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable working in a loosely structured environment and be proactive in optimization to ensure successful delivery of security outcomes.

A Typical Day:

1. Initiate programs by leading alignment on scope, planning, and securing cross-functional support.
2. Conduct Steering Committee meetings to make decisions, address obstacles, and ensure program alignment with business goals.
3. Drive teams with expertise in software engineering, data, security, and analytical skills.
4. Partner with senior leadership and functional leaders to focus on business objectives and ensure program success.
5. Conduct workgroup meetings to address strategic and tactical issues, dependencies, metrics, and milestones.
6. Provide visibility into program status, including key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, and metrics.
7. Manage dependencies across teams, divisions, and stakeholders.
8. Proactively remove obstacles that hinder program delivery.
9. Foster a collaborative environment encouraging creativity, innovation, and learning.
10. Lead strategic outcomes and drive transformative change as a change agent.

Your Expertise:

• 9+ years of industry experience, with at least 6 years as a TPM or relevant role. BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experienced in managing company-wide security technology programs, with the ability to navigate trade-offs and prioritize effectively.
• Critical thinker capable of developing customized program plans.
• Strategic problem solver with deep understanding of technology and its business applications.
• Master collaborator who builds positive relationships across teams and encourages shared alignment.
• Influencer and change agent skilled in driving change and alignment among diverse stakeholders.
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills and experience measuring progress and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communicator, able to convey complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
