Job summary

GiveDirectly is seeking a Technical Program Associate to own and manage technology across our programs, including recipient data collection, verification, payments, and monitoring. You will partner with Operations to define requirements, manage multi-stakeholder implementation, and analyze program data to drive data-driven decisions.

You will be a systems thinker able to assess trade-offs, communicate insights, and own projects end-to-end across multiple domains while adapting to evolving field

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in project management, product management, data analytics, or related roles.
• Strong data skills with ability to extract, clean, manipulate, and analyze data for operational decisions.
• Excellent project management experience with timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
• Deep proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate workflows.
• Interest in technology, systems design, and building scalable processes.
• Attention to detail and data-driven problem solving.
• Structured approach to problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bonus: experience with SQL databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end technical delivery for program launches, including scoping, requirements, configuration, QA, and closeout.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, Research, Engineering, and Data teams to align systems with program goals.
• Debug across layers of the tech stack, including recipient data systems and offline survey apps.
• Scope system improvements to boost efficiency, scale, and recipient experience.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and financial controls.
• Lead technical training and onboarding for operations staff.
• Lead retrospectives on launches and incidents to drive improvements.
