Job summary

GiveDirectly is a nonprofit that uses cash transfers and data-driven approaches to fight poverty. This role owns implementing and managing the technology used across programs, including recipient data collection, verification, payments, and monitoring, and leads technology-related aspects of new project launches.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical program management or related role.
• Ability to work across operations and technology teams on complex programs.
• Strong systems thinking and data analysis skills.
• Comfort with learning new technologies and applying them in business contexts.
• Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and ability to navigate unfamiliar settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement program requirements with the operations team.
• Project manage the implementation across multiple stakeholders.
• Analyze, structure, and act on program data with a data-driven mindset.
• Identify and communicate tradeoffs in technical solutions.
• Build and manage systems for payments, verification, and monitoring.
• Own technology projects from concept through delivery, with ownership and accountability.
