Advantage Technical in Austin, TX is seeking a hands-on, product-minded builder to partner with the Product Manager. You will prototype solutions, connect systems using AI tools, and drive the bridge between business needs and technical execution.

The role focuses on defining requirements, building internal workflows, and integrating APIs to move fast in a modern AI-enabled environment. You will collaborate across product and engineering teams to ship value.

Location: Austin, TX | Able to go onsite a few times a month

Pay: $50–52/hour [W2]

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, standard business hours (Central Time)

Duration: 6+ month ongoing contract

About the Role

Our client, an established company in the workforce and HR technology space, is looking for a hands‑on, product‑minded builder to partner closely with their Product Manager. This role sits between product and technology. You’ll help shape ideas, prototype solutions, and connect systems, using modern AI tools to move fast.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Product Manager to define requirements, user stories, and priorities
• Build prototypes, internal tools, and workflows using AI‑assisted coding tools
• Work with APIs and integrations to connect systems and data
• Test, troubleshoot, and refine solutions alongside product and technical teammates
• Translate between business needs and technical execution

What We’re Looking For

• Hands‑on experience using AI tools to build, such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Replit, or similar
• Working knowledge of APIs and integrations: reading API docs, testing endpoints, connecting tools
• Experience in product, product operations, implementation, or a similar role that blends business and technical work
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and figuring things out
• Strong communicator who can work with both technical and non‑technical people

Nice to Have

• HR tech, staffing, or workforce industry experience (ATS, HRIS, VMS, payroll systems)
• Experience with no‑code or low‑code automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable, Retool)
• A background in a creative or design role before moving into building with AI
