Ascend Learning is seeking a Technical Product Owner to act as the voice of the product, connecting business objectives with technical execution. This hybrid role in Gilbert, AZ requires translating market needs into features, managing backlogs, and guiding agile teams toward customer-focused outcomes.

You will partner with Product Managers and business owners to refine requirements, prioritize work, and ensure delivery aligns with roadmap milestones while communicating risks and release details

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related fields; IT/Business background preferred.
• Experience in agile environments and product ownership.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear user stories.

Responsibilities

• Understand market needs and translate requirements into features with acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and owners to gather needs and maintain the backlog.
• Prioritize features and adapt requirements based on user feedback and market changes.
• Modify product features in response to new information from product teams.
• Plan sprints and map work to roadmap milestones for delivery alignment.
• Track development to ensure alignment with requirements and feedback.
• Assist teams in backlog grooming and prioritization during sprint planning.
• Monitor performance against success criteria and user perspectives.
• Communicate clearly to align stakeholders and deliver release notes.
• Support documentation to enable rollout and training of capabilities.
• Articulate risks and mitigations early; weigh business and technical options.
• Drive decision making on tradeoffs with clear business and technical rationale.
