Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Technical Product Manager (Spectrum Dominance) to translate DoD mission requirements into software features, firmware builds, and operator-ready interfaces. You will bridge R&D with engineering, operations, and GTM teams in Irvine, CA, on a hybrid schedule with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, RF Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical product management or systems engineering experience within defense, aerospace, or wireless communications industries.
• Strong working knowledge of signal processing, wireless communications, RF systems, SDRs, DSP, or MANETs.
• Demonstrated experience translating highly complex mathematical algorithms or military use cases into structured software requirements and user stories.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional R&D, engineering, operations, and sales teams to meet release timelines.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Translate DoD mission requirements, mathematical signal concepts into structured user stories and technical specs.
• Partner with R&D engineering to translate LPI/LPD and anti-jam techniques into features.
• Own end-to-end software and firmware backlog for spectrum dominance features.
• Ensure waveforms integrate with MN-MIMO architecture and StreamCaster hardware.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cadences via Jira.
• Balance scope and schedules with customer and sales input to meet field expectations.
• Capture feedback from field tests and translate into backlog improvements.
• Drive product adoption and collaborate with sales to grow revenue.
