Job summary

Facilities Management eXpress is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own FCA tools and field workflows, building the capture app, data ingestion, and automation. You’ll spend significant time on site, interviewing technicians to uncover pain points and ship fixes in days.

You’ll balance hands-on field work with product leadership, using AI-assisted tooling daily, traveling up to 50%, and collaborating with Professional Services to drive measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• You’ve built and shipped real tools and can walk us through what you made, what broke, and how you fixed it.
• Daily AI-assisted building using tools like Claude, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Enough coding skill to read a stack trace, understand APIs, work in git, deploy to Vercel, and catch AI when it’s wrong.
• An outcome-driven mindset; you focus on reducing cost and cycle time.
• Comfort in the field; willing to travel up to 50% with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong listening skills to earn trust of technicians and facilities directors.
• Self-direction with minimal scaffolding.
• Alignment with our pillars: disciplined processes, coachable, performance-driven, respectful.
• No minimum years of experience; welcoming recent grads and career changers.
• Experience with facilities, construction, K-12 or higher ed operations, field data collection, or mapping and GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the cost and cycle time of an assessment; baseline metrics and targets with Professional Services.
• Tackle top time sinks across scoping, on-site capture, data cleanup, report production, and capital plan population.
• Build, ship, and support FCA tools: capture app, field workflow, operations tracking, mapping and floor plan pipeline, partner data intake.
• Get on site to interview technicians and facilities staff, routing insights to the product team.
