Job summary

Facilities Management eXpress is seeking a Technical Product Manager to build and ship on-site data tools for FCA operations. You’ll turn painful workflows into fast, repeatable processes, delivering fixes in days rather than months.

You will travel up to 50% to interview technicians, build data capture tools, automate data intake, and apply AI to read nameplates and floor plans. A portfolio of shipped work and a bias toward measurable cost savings will help you succeed in this remotely-enabled

Qualifications

• A portfolio of shipped work showing real tools you built.
• Daily AI-assisted building with tools like Claude, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Coding ability to read stack traces, understand API behavior, use git, and deploy (e.g., to Vercel).
• An outcome-driven mindset focused on measurable cost or cycle-time improvements.
• Comfort in the field: fieldwork, travel up to 50%, valid driver’s license.
• Strong listening skills to earn trust across roles and teams.
• Self-directed work style with minimal scaffolding and clear ownership.
• Alignment with FMX core pillars: work ethic, discipline, coaching, results, respect and integrity.
• No minimum years of experience; open to graduates, career changers, and self-taught builders.
• Experience with facilities, construction, K-12/higher-ed operations, field data collection, or GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own cost and cycle time metrics for each FCA assessment and report on targets.
• Address major time sinks across scoping, on-site capture, data cleanup, report production, and capital planning.
• Build, ship, and support FCA tools including capture app, field workflow, and data intake pipelines.
• Interview technicians on-site and translate learnings into product requirements.
• Cut onboarding data costs and build repeatable data intake tooling.
• Improve data completeness and accuracy, not just speed, using efficient data collection.
• Apply AI to real work tasks like reading nameplates and drafting narratives.
• Automate internal work where a small tool saves time or money.
• Maintain data defensibility; ensure speed does not compromise quality.
• When new internal tools prove valuable, hand off with documentation and data model implications.
