Job summary

BLR Holdings, Inc. in Orlando is seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to join the Offer, Product, Pricing team.

You will lead technical discovery, steer product-led strategy, and modernize high-throughput backend services powering global digital commerce. Responsibilities include roadmap ownership and governance for core backend platforms, system discovery of microservices, API documentation, and cross-functional alignment with engineering and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Systems Analysis, Software Engineering, or Technical Program Management focused on backend platforms and APIs.
• Strong ability to trace data flows across complex architectures and perform deep discovery.
• Proven track record building cross-functional trust and aligning technical teams without direct authority.
• Experience writing technical user stories, system specs, and API documentation.

Responsibilities

• Roadmap Ownership: lead vision, release schedules, and backlog for core backend platforms.
• Product-Led Governance: drive decisions and align feature roadmaps with Product leadership and engineering.
• System Discovery: audit microservices, legacy APIs, and codebases to reduce debt and boost throughput.
• Transactional Platform Ownership: own logic across search, inventory holds, booking engines, and post-booking changes.
• Architectural Alignment: partner with architects to translate requirements into resilient data flows.
• API Documentation: author contracts and detailed developer stories for APIs.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: coordinate between technical squads and executive leads to manage scope.
• KPI & Metrics Tracking: implement telemetry to monitor platform health and business outcomes.
• Agile Execution: lead daily delivery, sprint planning, and risk management.

Compensation Range: $70 - 74 per hour

The Commerce Platforms group builds and scales the core transactional infrastructure behind our primary web and mobile booking destinations. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to join our Offer, Product, Pricing (OVP) team. In this role, you will lead technical discovery, steer product-led strategy, and modernize high-throughput backend services that power global digital commerce.

Responsibilities:

Roadmap Strategy & Governance

• Roadmap Ownership: Lead product vision, release schedules, and backlog management for core backend platforms.
• Product-Led Governance: Drive product decision-making, shifting control of feature roadmaps back under Product leadership through strong collaboration with engineering.

System Discovery & Core Logic Management

• System Discovery: Conduct deep-dive audits on existing microservices, legacy APIs, and codebases to eliminate technical debt and optimize platform throughput.
• Transactional Platform Ownership: Direct and improve fundamental logic across the reservation lifecycle-including Search backend services, Offer "Freeze" inventory holds, Core Booking engines, and Post-Booking modifications or cancellations.

Technical & Architectural Alignment

• Architectural Partnership: Work side-by-side with Solution Architects and Lead Engineers to convert complex requirements into resilient backend architectures and data flows.
• API & Technical Documentation: Author technical requirements, functional specifications, API contracts, and detailed developer user stories.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact between technical squads and executive business leads to resolve dependencies and negotiate scope.

Data Analytics & Operations

• KPI & Metric Tracking: Implement system telemetry and performance benchmarks to monitor platform health, guide prioritization, and measure business outcomes.
• Agile Squad Execution: Lead daily delivery, sprint planning, and risk management for dedicated engineering teams, keeping stakeholders informed of critical dependencies.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or Technical Program Manager focused on backend platforms, RESTful APIs, and cloud architecture.
• Backend Systems Literacy: Demonstrated ability to trace complex data flows, analyze unfamiliar architecture, and perform deep discovery across enterprise codebases.
• Matrix Leadership: Proven track record of building cross-functional trust, forging consensus, and driving technical alignment without direct authority.
• Technical PM Mechanics: Advanced expertise writing technical user stories, system specifications, and API documentation using Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
• Metric-Driven Execution: Experience using system telemetry, performance logs, and product data to justify engineering investments and evaluate releases.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communicator skilled at tailoring technical details for non-technical leadership and architectural leads.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with enterprise e-commerce transaction engines (e.g., inventory holds, core search indexing, dynamic pricing, or booking platforms).
• Previous hands-on background as a Software Engineer or Technical Business Analyst managing legacy system modernizations and API rollouts.
