Job summary

Cella is seeking a Product Development Designer to contribute to end-to-end design and execution of seasonal product lines, including handbags, accessories, and apparel.

You will collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams, research trends, create sketches and technical drawings, and help select materials and trims. This is a hybrid role in Framingham with on-site and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional fashion design or product development experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and flat sketches.
• Familiarity with apparel/ accessories merchandising and production workflows.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating and developing designs for ladies' apparel.
• Collaborates with senior designers and cross-functional teams to ensure quality and market fit.
• Researches fashion trends through trade shows and market analysis.
• Creates sketches and technical drawings to communicate concepts.
• Participates in product development meetings about materials and production techniques.
• Assists in selecting materials, colors, and trims.
• Supports quarterly product development with mood boards and fabric/color selections.
• Collaborates with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality production.
• Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and manufacturing techniques.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or equivalent practical work experience

2+ years of professional experience in fashion design or technical product development

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects under seasonal deadlines
