Job summary

Cella is seeking a Product Development Designer to contribute to end-to-end design and execution of seasonal product lines, including handbags, accessories, and apparel.

You will collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams, research trends, create sketches and technical drawings, and help select materials and trims. This is a hybrid role in Framingham with on-site and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional fashion design or product development experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and flat sketches.
• Familiarity with apparel/ accessories merchandising and production workflows.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating and developing designs for ladies' apparel.

Education

Compensation Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Cella is seeking a Product Development Designer on behalf of an established global retail client. This role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the end-to-end design and execution of seasonal product lines focusing on handbags, accessories, and apparel.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the creation and development of designs for ladies' apparel.
• Collaborates with senior designers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and market demands.
• Researches fashion trends, including attending trade shows and conducting market research.
• Create sketches and technical drawings to communicate design concepts.
• Participates in product development meetings to discuss design ideas, materials, and production techniques.
• Assists in the selection of materials, colors, and trims for designs.
• Provides support in the development of quarterly product, including creating mood boards and assisting with fabric and color selections.
• Collaborates with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality production of designs.
• Stays up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with apparel and accessories retail merchandising and production workflows.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under seasonal deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and clear written and verbal communication skills.
